Legal advice - how much will it cost?
Separating from your spouse or being involved in some other type of legal dispute does not mean you will lose everything to the lawyers!
If you have recently separated, you will need legal advice. Even if you and your ex-partner are agreed about future parenting arrangements, child support, ongoing financial support, or how your matrimonial assets should be divided, you should still contact a family lawyer and make sure things are fair and reasonable, and your family’s interests are protected.
If you are involved in any other type of legal dispute, including estate matters, neighbour disputes, commercial litigation, defamation, or breach of contract, you should also get legal advice.
The good news is that Shorestone Legal can provide you with several different fee options!
We offer face-to-face legal consults with a lawyer who is experienced in the area of law pertaining to your matter, who can provide you with comprehensive advice about all aspects of your dispute. Whether you are looking for ongoing legal representation, intending to represent yourself, or just looking for a second opinion, our fees for this first appointment will be capped at our hourly fee. Even if your appointment goes over that first hour because of the complexity of your matter, there will be no additional fee.
If you are unsure whether you even need a lawyer, you can book a free telephone call with one of our lawyers to discuss your situation.
If you decide you do need ongoing legal representation, we can give you a realistic estimate of the future legal fees for all aspects of your matter. You can also talk to us about deferring your legal fees until the completion of your matter.
To arrange a capped-fee appointment or a free telephone call with an experienced lawyer, call us at 07 3266 4657 or contact us online (we will call you or email you back within one business day).

Do you have a will?
Having a will drawn up without proper legal advice is dangerous. Having no will at all can be even worse. There may be serious ramifications for you and your family if your will is drafted without proper consideration of your unique circumstances. Click below for more information about wills.
